I was struggling to find the right words to start talking to me daughter about sex and specifically how to prevent abuse. This session definitely helped me find them, with examples and metaphors, and I am now more confident about being able to empower my child. I definitely recommend it to all parents who didn't have the chance to grow up in an environment where such topics were openly discussed.

The session was really helpful. It was interactive and Swati made sure to answer our questions at every step instead of waiting till the end where the question is either lost or forgotten. Discussing sex ed with children could be a little embarassing and awkward . But this session has helped me see beyond it . Thankyou!

The session was actually an eye opener to me and these sessions are the need of hour. Thanks a lot for coming up with this and enlightening us with how the kids should be taught about this and at what age.🙌

A wonderful session that makes it easy for parents to talk about the tabooed topics with kids.
Before attending this session I was always wondering how should I start, at what age, what should I say, etc. But now I feel confident of approaching my child and answering any of his questions.
The best part about this session is that I learnt to impart values along with sex education.
Highly recommend it to all!!

Excellent workshop... Nowadays many schools r conducting workshops but we parents being the first care givers for our kids... It's very essential to know how to bring awareness about sex Ed in kids... Every age has a different explanation to give... N if we r confident in imparting that then the kids too get the right info n r thereby aware. When we were kids there was nobody to explain... I wish everyone takes the benefit by doing the workshop... Thanx kids. eq. box for conducting it so well

It was a wonderful session..with so much unanswered queries one always has around this topic..being answered with perfect examples and also how and why it needs to be an imp topic for kids as well parents have to understand...I would really want these sessions to happen in the schools..bcoz that's where the curiosity and excitement starts in the kids, if not guided properly..really recommend it...Thanks Swati ❤️

  • Why do I need to focus on giving Sex Ed to my child? Shouldn't it be the school's job?
School is a great place to provide well researched biological facts to your child. Schools can also teach about other aspects like consent, respect & much more. However, you are the constant in your child's life. Whenever your child faces any confusion, dilemma or problem related to relationships, boundaries or anything else; you would want your children to feel comfortable to come to you rather than looking for answers at unreliable places like peers or internet. For your child to feel comfortable to come to you with such issues, it is important for us as parents to initiate the conversation.
  • Isn't a 3 year old too young to have such talks?
Sex-Ed is not just about body & reproduction. It goes much deeper & includes body safety, healthy relationships, healthy boundaries, respect for diversity & much more. By the age of 3 children should be well aware of private body parts, knowing the correct names for these parts & being aware of safe & unsafe touches. A 3 year old starts venturing out in the world, the child should know about their trust circle. Sex-Ed should start latest by the age of 3.
  • If I talk about Sex with my child, it will push my child into having more thoughts & questions about it.
Researchers say that children who have been given Sex-Ed make better & safe decisions. Your child will be curious about their body, the body of the opposite gender & many more things. It would be better to answer these questions rather than peers or porn. Before your child's friend say to your child, "You show me yours, I'll show you mine," & your child agrees to it, or even worse, an adult says this to your child; it would be better that you have already spoken with your child about it & taught them about body safety & privacy.
  • What age group is the curriculum suitable for?
The curriculum is designed primarily for children and teens, but many principles can be adapted for adult learning as well. The focus is on making the lessons relatable and practical for different age groups.
